DIALOGUE
Α: Αυτή είναι η πέμπτη αίθουσα;
Ρ: Ναι.
Judith: Now one time slowly.

Judith: “Shall we go to the second floor? We don’t have much time.”
Judith: “Ok.”
Judith: “And now, we’re going to the sixth room.”
POST CONVERSATION BANTER
Judith: Ok, let’s talk a bit about Crete, maybe. Iro?
Iro: Crete has been inhabited continuously since 7000 before Christ. Evans was the first archeologist to begin excavations in 1899.
Judith: During the Neolithic period, there was extinctive trade between Crete and Egypt, Syria and what is today Turkey.
Iro: Despite that, social hierarchy only appeared after 2000 before Christ. There were kings and divisions between social classes.
Judith: At the beginning of the 17th century before Christ, Minoan culture dominated the islands and the Minuends grew in power. Women played an important role in Minuend society. There was a powerful upper class and Minuend palaces served as political, administrative and commercial centers.
Iro: The Minuend civilization came to an end in 1375 with the sudden destruction of the Palace of Cnossos.
Judith: The exact causes of the collapse remain unknown, but it is believed that it may have been related to the volcanic eruption on nearby island of Tyra. Let’s take a look at the vocabulary for this lesson.
