Στη Λευκάδα είναι χαρακτηριστική φυσικα οι ελιές, αμπέλια, κυπαρίσσια, πεύκα, τα συκιά και ρόδια, πλατάνια, ευκάλυπτοι, λεμονιές και πορτοκαλιές, αμυγδαλιές, φοίνικες, αραουκαριες, οπουντία, από τα λουλούδια οι πικροδάφνες και μπουκαμβίλιες, και από την μπαχαρικά θυμάρι, ρίγανη, δεντρολίβανο, μέντα, λεβάντα.

Στην Ελλάδα τα Χριστούγεννα διακοσμούμε συνήθως έλατα, όχι πεύκα.

(In Greece during Christmas we usually decorate fir trees, not pine trees. :wink:)


The famous English song "O Cristmas tree" is for us "Ω, έλατο" :smile:
