The Rio-Antirrio Bridge, one of the longest bridges in the world, is near the city of Πάτρα (Pátra). It stretches across the Gulf of Corinth, connecting the Peloponnese peninsula to mainland Greece. |
This bridge is built in a place with deep waters, strong currents, and lots of earthquakes. |
Engineers used flexible supports and special materials to make sure it can handle these challenges. |
It's truly an amazing piece of engineering! |
