John: How to Describe Someone Positively

John: This is Must-Know Greek Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 7. In this lesson, you'll learn how to describe someone positively.
John: Your Greek friends will be flattered if you use these to compliment them!
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
John: The expressions you'll be learning in this lesson are:
Chrissi: είμαι γάτα (íme gáta)
Chrissi: κάνω παπάδες (káno papádes)
Chrissi: ξεφτέρι (xeftéri)
Chrissi: σπαθί (spathí)
John: Chrissi, what's our first expression?
Chrissi: είμαι γάτα (íme gáta)
John: literally meaning "to be a cat." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "to be sly as a fox / to be good at something."

John: Use this slang expression when you want to compliment yourself or others for being smart and cunning.

John: This literally means "to do priests." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "tο be extremely skillful at something, to do wonders."

Chrissi: The word ξεφτέρι (xeftéri)
John: literally meaning "sparrowhawk." As a slang word, it means "smart, genius."
