John: This is Must-Know Greek Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 19. In this lesson, you'll learn expressions related to success and good performance.
John: It's best to use these expressions in very casual conversations, usually among young people.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
John: The expressions you'll be learning in this lesson are:
Chrissi: σκίζω (skízo)
Chrissi: κεντάω (kendáo)
Chrissi: δίνω ρέστα (díno résta)
Chrissi: φυσάω (fisáo)
John: Chrissi, what's first?
Chrissi: The verb σκίζω (skízo)
John: literally meaning "to tear, to rip." But when it's used as a slang word, it means "to excel, to nail something, to rock."
