| Let’s start with the English word "email," which is used to mean "e-mail address." |
| In Greek, all nouns have grammatical gender. They also are either singular or plural and have a case that depends on the role they are playing in the sentence. |
| The English word "email" is treated as a neuter singular noun in Greek. |
| After "email" is σας (sas). This means "your," in formal situations. Σας . Σας. |
| Together, email σας, "your e-mail address." Email σας. |
| Before this is the article το (to). Think of it like "the" in English. Το . Το. |
| Το (to) is also neuter singular to agree with "email." |

| When giving your e-mail address in Greek, if your prefix represents a word or a name, you don’t need to spell it out. For example, if your e-mail address is stamatina@innolang.com, you can also say "stamatina" instead of es-tee-éi-em-éi-tee-ái-en-éi. Still, It’s pretty popular to be asked to spell it, in order to verify it, though. |
| Same goes for the popular domain names. For example, if your e-mail address has the domain, "gmail," as in "gmail.com," you can just say, gmail. |
| Outside of well-known domain names, however, it will usually be necessary to spell it out. |
