Hi everyone! I'm Chrissi Papadopoulou.
In this lesson, you'll learn essential social expressions, such as "thank you."
This is Ben Lee and he’s on the train. A fellow passenger drops his wallet as he exits the train. Ben picks up the wallet and chases after the man.
He calls to the man by saying,
"Excuse me."
Με συγχωρείτε. (Me sinhoríte.)
Listen to the following three short dialogues between Ben and the man.
Ready?
Με συγχωρείτε. (Me sinhoríte.)
Ναι; (Ne?)
Ben hands the wallet to the man.
Ευχαριστώ πάρα πολύ. (Efharistó pára polí.)
Παρακαλώ. (Parakaló.)
Ben turns to board the train, but the doors shut.
Συγγνώμη. (Signómi.)
Δεν πειράζει. (Den pirázi.)

"Yes?"
