Cultural Insight
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight.
Chrissi: In formal situations, Greek people commonly greet each other by shaking hands. On the other hand, if we meet someone we are friendly with, we air kiss by touching cheek-to-cheek. First the left cheek, tilting the head to the right, then the right cheek, tilting the head to the left. With very close friends the air kiss may be accompanied by the 'mwah' sound, like '*mwah, *mwah.' Don’t be afraid to do it with your Greek friends—it’s normal!

Outro

Eric: And that’s all for this lesson. Don’t forget to check out the lesson notes, and we’ll see you in the next lesson!
Chrissi: Γεια χαρά!
